LIMITED EDITIONS

Limited edition pieces usually sell out very quickly, with some getting up to $300. They are hand numbered unless otherwise noted. The more recent limited editions come in large lots and so are not numbered.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP PIECES

The Leaf & Acorn Club officially began in 1997, with its charter year extended throughout 1998. Its predecessor was called the Acorn Society, begun at Rosemont the previous year in 1996.

New GCC Early Releases: These are released to only GCC retailers the year before they are released to regular dealers.  Therefore they will bear the year before mark than the actual issue year. 

Earlier GCC pieces did not have any marks on the bottom. At that time, GCC pieces were supposedly also offered to non-GCC stores. These are hard to confirm.

NALED SPECIAL EDITIONS

These special edition pieces are available to NALED stores only and are usually produced in limited numbers.

STORE EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL EDITIONS

2000

Carlton Cards has an exclusive piece called Mom's Give the Best Hugs #98/228 for Mother's Day 2000.  It is limited to 3,000 pieces and can only be ordered through a Carlton Store.  Check the Carlton Cards web site for a store locator.

QVC had an exclusive piece called Blossom Built for Two #C97721 that retailed for $18.00.  Included with the figurine was a lapel pin called Maxine's New Cap.  It was limited to 5,000 pieces and was hand numbered.  This was Deans first appearance on QVC January 11, 2000 and the exclusive sold out. 

QVC had another exclusive piece called Whose Going To Fill Your Shoes #C77805 that retailed for $19.00.  This was also limited to 5,000 pieces and was hand numbered.  The show aired June 16, 2000 and sold out.  

G & L Christmas Barn has an exclusive piece called You Turn My Life Around.  It may only be purchased at G & L no other Store will be selling this exclusive.  It is limited to 3,000 pieces and is the first Charming Tails figurine with a moveable part.  1- (888) 737-5600 to order.

Christmas Dove is having an Exclusive piece called Santa Impostor.  It can only be purchased through Christmas Dove.  It is limited to 3,000 pieces and the cost is $16.99.  It is scheduled to be released in the Fall 2000.  To order call 1- 800-962-6180 or email the Chrismas Loft @ info@ChristmasLoft.com 

Moniques Antiques is having an Exclusive piece called Antiques Make the Best Friends.  It may only be purchased through Monique's Antiques.  It is scheduled to be released around Oct 2000.

G&L Christmas & Gift Barn has an exclusive piece called Winter Whirl-Wind  #87/114 to commerate the Stores 20th anniversary in 1999.  It may only be purchased at G & L no other Store will be selling this exclusive.  It is limited to 3000 pieces and the cost is $20. 1- (888) 737-5600 to order.

Simply Christmas has an exclusive piece called Snowshoe Sweetie #87/113 limited to 3,000 pieces.  It may only be purchased at Simply Christmas and the piece retails for $17.95. 1 (800) 835-8990 to order.

Gifts & Accents has an exclusive piece called Christmas Tree Trio #87/112 limited to 3,000 pieces.  It may only be purchased at Gifts and Accents and the piece retails for $22.00.  

SPECIAL EVENT PIECE

In 1998 an exclusive piece was designed for an Open House Event which is usually a yearly event.  These Events were by selected Dealer participation meaning that not all Dealers had access to the Event piece.  Each participating Store received 1 presigned Event piece in their shipment for the Event.  

CONCEPTS DIRECT EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL EDITIONS

Exclusive Charming Tails pieces (special editions) have been made for Concepts Direct, a mail-order catalog company in Longmont, Colorado. They're supposed to release two exclusives each year, one in spring and one in fall.

ICE EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL EDITION

A special piece was made for International Collectible Exposition events in Rosemont, Illinois, and Edison, New Jersey.  The company that puts these on is called McRand. The pieces are hand numbered.

MILLENNIUM SPECIAL EDITION

A special piece has been released to celebrate the new millennium. This piece is sold out to stores; this means that if stores haven't ordered the figurine yet, it's too late. This piece isn't exclusive to a certain type of store. It is hand numbered.

There will also be an ornament similar to it.

SIGNING PIECES

Each year a special signing piece is done for events where the artist Dean Griff makes appearances.

THREE-FOOT STATUES

These oversized figures were shown at Edison and Rosemont events in 1998. These special resin figures are 3' tall, 26" wide, and 24" deep. They weigh 100 lbs. and sell for $300. They are each individually made and come in a styrofoam case with a cardboard box.

CHARITY PIECES

There was a charity piece in 1995, and Fitz and Floyd has released a second in 1999. While Silvestri was in bankruptcy proceedings, they couldn't release any charity pieces.

YEAR OF PRODUCTION PIECES (ANNUALS)

These pieces are dated or undated (as noted) and are only produced for one year, thus limited by year. All are retired except the 1999 pieces.

SFMBC MUSIC BOXES

The music boxes were made by Silvestri for the San Francisco Music Box Company, a chain of music box stores. They were based on existing pieces, just with a music box bottom. The piece number doesn't match the Charming Tails number scheme. The price ranged from $34.95 to $39.95.
