Mackenzie Building A Snowmouse is a limited edition figurine and came with a certificate of authenticity. Each piece is individually hand numbered. Collectors have found some pieces with no limited edition numbers and a plain bottom with gold sticker. The box looks similar to the limited edition box, except there is no photo on the box and the box label says SAMACO. The item number on the box is DG87203. The Canadian distribution center is SAMACO.
Again rumors surfaced among collectors that a special piece had been made for Canada. Both Dean and Joe Goulet verified no piece has ever been done for Canada. However, they felt there had been extras made to compensate for breakage; and when all the numbered pieces were sold out, they released the ones without the numbers. The piece with the limited edition numbers has a higher secondary value than the piece without.
Mackenzie Building A Snowmouse had the name spelled "Mickensy" on the box and certificate.
