The 1997 Leaf & Acorn Club was extended into 1998. This meant that club members did not have to renew their club membership in 1998. The Charter Membership piece Thank You was the club membership piece for both 1997 and 1998.
Maxine's Leaf Collection was the first Members Only exclusive offered to Leaf & Acorn Club members in 1997. The redemption certificate was included with the club kit for club members to redeem at their favorite Charming Tails retailers. Club members did not have to purchase this Members Only piece to keep their club membership status. This members only piece is retired and can no longer be ordered.
Maxine's Leaf Collection was released in 1997 and 1998 (according to the leaf or paw year mark on the bottom). There are differences between the two releases. In the new 1998 pieces, Maxine is much lighter, and Sidney has no eyes and is colored differently. he is pink with a tan shell, not yellow with a pink shell.
