The 1997 Leaf & Acorn Club was extended into 1998. This meant that club members did not have to renew their club membership in 1998. The Charter Membership piece Thank You was the club membership piece for both 1997 and 1998.
A Growing Friendship was the first Members Only exclusive offered to Leaf & Acorn Club members in 1998, but the second Members Only piece since the Charter year in 1997. The redemption certificate are mailed to all club members to redeem at their favorite Charming Tails retailers. The deadline for club members to order this piece was extended from June 1998 until December 31, 1998. Club members did not have to purchase this Members Only piece to keep their club membership status.
The tiny oak tree's stem is wire and is glued to the base. The box label and name card says A Growing of Friendship.
My club piece is like the photos in the 1999 and 2000 catalogs showing Lydia on the left leaf. Michelle's piece in the right photo shows Lydia on the opposite leaf facing Sidney. Collectors have reported finding this piece with Lydia on the left or right leaf, probably due to the factory gluing the tree in different positions.
