BOOO! PROTOTYPE, VERSION 2

Booo!

Prototype
One of a kind, similar to
Booo! prototype, version 1
Piece is the height of three Charming Tails mice: 7-1/4 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide at the base.

Notice that the character on the bottom has the ears and tails of a mouse, but the piece is painted grey like Binkey. According to Dean, this really is Binkey! Back in 1994-95 when the manufacturer was still Silvestri, Booo was sculpted and a sample sent to Dallas. The first sample had three mice standing behind a sheet to make a ghost (version 1). The problem was that Charming Tails only had two mice, Mackenzie and Maxine. So the word was sent overseas to turn one of the mice into Binkey the bunny. When the new prototype returned (version 2), there was Binkey, but he had a mouse's tail and mouse ears. That piece was not approved.

Also, the other first version of Booo! has candy corn, and this one doesn't. The bow is red here, and the other has a yellow bow. The piece has a green felt bottom with the word "Boo" hand written and is signed by Dean Griff.

The piece changed hands on eBay in July of 1999 for $1,575.51.
