Below are photos of items that
collectors received while attending collectible shows or store events during the
1999 season. Although most of these items were given away free at
shows, they have become highly collectible. Collectors are paying
secondary prices to add these items into their collections. If you know of

Prototype Woodland Winds Nana Claus
(Fling Auction, March 5, 1999)
Linda Genest sent me a
photo of an artist's proof her husband won in the auction.
Thanks, Linda! It's part of Radko's
Woodland Winds
and is called Nana Claus. The piece will be signed by both
Christopher Radko and Dean Griff. Nana Claus is the companion to
the Frosty Leaf Santa that was issued last year. It will be
released this year, with an issue price of $150. It is limited to
only 2,500 pieces. Winning bid was $435.

Strahl with CT design. High bid $130 owned by Dana Brenneman and

Animal Party Print
(1999)
Dean did this print for a
show only for GCC dealers. The rest were given out at Rosemont on
dealer days. The first 200 dealers or store representatives that
walked up to Dean and said hello got a free print. This graphic
belongs to Dean Griff and may not be printed out.

special print drawn by
Dean Griff for the Flamingo Fling held March 5-6, 1999 and limited to 500
prints. Each print is individually hand numbered and signed.

Rosemont ICE Print & Rose
Every person who attended
the
seminars was presented a long-stemmed red silk rose and a print
designed and matted by Dean.

Long Beach Party Favors

Long Beach Party Animal Sticker
(1999)
At the 1999 International
Collectible Exposition in Long Beach, California, Dean Griff gave
away a few "tags" (with adhesive on the back) he had
produced on his computer. He signed 400 of them on the plane ride
to California. This graphic belongs to Dean Griff and may not be
printed out.
This sticker drawing was one of Dean's first attempts at a computer
drawing.

Party Animal Napkin
(Long Beach April 1999)
Phyllis Lester, Cindy Zugay and Lauri Nickel each won an
embroidered linen napkin signed by Dean Griff. The napkin was
designed by Karl Strahl. There were 2 seminars each day and 4
tickets were picked by Maxine Mouse for the
napkins.

Flamingo Fling "tag"
(March 1999)
During the event, Dean gave
away a few "tags" (with adhesive on the back) he had
produced on his computer and then signed. He scanned them in, and
his mother cut them apart. It was a picture from a thank you card
that Dean did.
