CHICKIE CHARIOT RIDE

88/100 Chickie Chariot Ride

Original selling price: $15.00
Introduced: December 1999
Issued: 2000

The left top photo is a photo of the actual production piece of Chickie Chariot Ride.  Notice there are 2 yellow flowers in the tall blades of grass, one near the chicks foot and the other next to the wheel on the chariot.  When you turn the figurine around the flower nearest the chariot wheel is pink instead of yellow.

Collectors also mentioned Lydia can be found to the left or the right side of Mackenzie's head on the pedal.  The reason Lydia is found in different positions is because the pedal is glued on by many different people at the factory.  This does not raise the secondary value of the piece.

A dealer has reported getting new pre-packs of Chickie Chariot Ride in their shop in Feb. 2001 with a color change.  The top half of the chariot was yellow and the bottom half was red with the dove mark.  According to F & F, the factory made an error and accidentally colored the tulip half yellow and red.  The mistake has since been corrected,  but 2,400 pieces of Chickie Chariot were released in the two tone version shown in the top right photo.  This version will be more valuable than the actual production piece because of the small number produced in error.

In the bottom left photo is a picture from the box.  The pictures from the box and 2000 catalog both show no flowers on the reins that Mackenzie is holding.   Under the chicken and chariot is grass instead of a dirt road.  There are only 3 flowers showing on the side of the figurine in the tall blades of grass: pink, blue & yellow.

In the bottom right photo is a picture showing another version.  The flower in the front of the rein is pink with a white center rather than blue with a yellow center.  The flowers on the side of the figurine in the tall blades of grass are pink, blue and yellow.
