There is a switch on the bottom that lights the lamp post. If the post does not light you may need new batteries. When the lamp post is turned on, it is supposed to blink and have a red appearance.
A collector reported there are 2 labels on her box. The one on the front is a clear sticker with green lettering. It is labeled "Maxine & Mickeney Carroling" (notice the misspelling of Mickensey, the reversal of the names and the word caroling is spelled differently). On the back of the box the label reads "Mackenzie and Maxine Caroling". At the bottom is a photo of the clear sticker.
