This Ornament tends to command a slightly lower secondary market price than the Cherries/Mouse version, although it is still a harder piece to find. There are several reasons for the price difference: the mouse is more sought after than the bunny and the leaves on the Cherries piece breaks easy giving it the higher value.
Collectors first noticed a difference in catalogs that not only was Binkey hanging upside down, but hanging right side up (hanger between the ears). According to Dean, he designed Binkey's Snack to be hanging upside down. We have also heard of a few reports with hangers on both ends of Binkey.
The piece with the hanger between the ears will have a higher secondary value than the piece hanging upside down because it was a factory error and there are fewer pieces produced this way. However, before paying a premium for such a piece, inspect it CAREFULLY to make sure it has not been altered.
