There are 2 versions of this piece and
it has been confirmed that Version # 1 is the older of the two.
Version #1 - has no bottom stamp; the ribbon is painted a dull red finish; the
string is painted black; the center of the spool is painted gray; and the words
RIBBON 10 YARDS can either be etched plain or painted black. The words FOR
YOU has also been found in very distinct block lettering. (see photo below)
Version #2 - has a stamp on the bottom; the ribbon is painted with a shiny red finish; the string is painted red; and the center of the spool is painted tan (the same color as the rest of the spool). The lettering RIBBON 10 YARDS can be found with plain etching or black painted lettering. The words FOR YOU have been found to be very poorly done.
