Love Story!!

As many know, I've been collecting and displaying my precious Charming Tails for a number of years. Late in 2000 or early in 2001, an old friend stopped by with her daughter to visit.

I hadn't seen the little girl since she was 5 or 6. She, like me, has red hair and freckles. I always thought of her as the niece I never had. At five she was the sweetest as could be, and now, at 10, she is still one very sweet and special young lady.

Upon "touring" my collection, she fell in love with the Charming Tails. I have them all over the house, displayed in "scenes", all the critters playing and frolicking and having a great time (of course!).  She went from scene to scene smiling and commenting and carrying on (as one has to when watching the Charming Tails play!).

Of course, she owned her first before she even left the house. Every occasion I could think of, I was giving her a Charming Tails to celebrate.  When she moved, I sent her (in the mail, OF COURSE), Mail Mouse. When QVC had a special pin that came with a piece (ice cream) that I already had, I gave the extra to her.

That was the year Dean came to Frankenmuth, Michigan for a signing Of course, she attended with me (her mom drove us since I had had surgery the day before), and I watched on in awe as she met Dean for the very first time.  Bringing Along a Little Love (a gift when she moved again into a new family situation) was among the pieces she brought to be signed.

Sadly, one of her cats recently decided that the piece did not, indeed, belong on the shelf upon which it was perched, so it went flying through the air with the greatest of ease. It's in several pieces and missing a tail, but I'll attempt to repair it for her because it means so much to her

She now has a growing collection of more than 15 Charming Tails and displays them with love.  Probably not the "love story" you were expecting, but I wanted to share how much of a wonder it is for me to share my love of Charming Tails with my special friend.
