SSC FEATURE MEMBER

Sherrill from Oregon!

Sherrill has collected Charming Tails since 1994 and now boasts more than 700 pieces in her  collection.  Her first CT purchases include "The Waterslide Musical" and "Hanging Around Musical" (issued by the San Francisco Music Box Company).

"I got a SFMB catalog in the mail and was looking through it, when my eyes fell on three musicals.  I could only afford two at the time, however, I did get the third one a few weeks later.  That started my addiction," she recalls with a laugh.

"Thanks for Being There" is here favorite piece.  "It reminds me of how lucky I am to have met so many wonderful people in this world of CTs," she said.  "Pumpkin Playtime" waterglobe is another favorite.  "This reminds me of when I was a little girl and we would make a trip to the pumpkin patch to pick out our own individual pumpkin and then take it home to care.  Howe lucky we were.  The whole family was involved, we made a night of it," she said.

She recalls her early days of collecting with fond memories.  "On those days when you just found one of the older pieces and it was a great buy ... YIPPEE!!"

Among her other hobbies are embroidery, crafts, woodworking and gardening.  "I collect National Geographic Magazines and Waterford Millenium Crystal," she added.  She uses curio cabinets to display her collection.  "Not very unique," she notes, "but it keeps the dust off and keeps the pieces safe from little hands!  Grandkids," she jokes!
