Merry Christmas and the Happiest of Holiday Seasons!

(Images may take some time to load. All photos are the subject of copyright protection.)

Christmas Greetings!

The officers of the Squashville Social Club would like to take a moment to wish each of you and your families our very best wishes for the very happiest of holiday seasons.  Christmas is often a time full of "hustle and bustle" and it's easy to loose sight of the true meaning of Christmas.  Take the time to share the love and joy of the season with family and friends - both near and far!  If you haven't already - drop them a card, call them on the phone or send them an e-mail.  But be sure to let them know you are thinking of them and how much they mean to you.

With the warmest wishes for the very Merriest of Holidays --

Mike Brennan, President
Erin Bryan, Vice President
Rona Horn, Secretary
Joan Woodruff, Treasurer

Susan from Oklahoma!

Seven years into her collection, Susan has managed to gather nearly every Charming Tails piece out there!  Quite an achievement!

It all started with "Pumpkin Pie," she said.  "I was in Indiana visiting my daughter and we found it in a small gift shop.  I then later saw the nativity pieces, although I didn't realize it at the time.  This was the only place I had ever seen these wonderful pieces.  In the beginning I threw away all the boxes.  I'm just horrified at the thought now!" she adds.

Among her favorites, she counts the original Halloween and Fall pieces.  "I like to decorate with them; they are perfect," says Susan.  And she displays them in a variety of ways.

"I have them all over the house.  I have all the mushroom pieces on my buffet, all the bluebirds on top of the bed headboard, the squirrels with my squirrel display, the spring flowers on the old stereo cabinet," she said.  "I alternate seasons -- at Christmas time I cover the ENTIRE dining room table with a Christmas Charming Tails Scene."

The first time she met Dean was at Rosemont 2002 and Susan remembers the meeting fondly.  She said she has way too many hobbies, but among them are collecting cats, dogs, squirrels, owls, Charming Tails, Boyds Bears, Dreamsicles and Harmony Kingdom.

Here it is!!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!

As you can tell from the masthead, we have picked a name for the "Squashville Social Club Newsletter."  Congratulations to Navyne Kline who submitted the winning name.  And a hearty THANKS to all the Club Members how submitted ideas.  We have 45 (!) suggested named and, take our word for it, it was NOT easy picking just one!  So don't be surprised if some of your suggestions are used in other ways - they were too good to let them go to waste!

And a BIG "THANK YOU" to
Sparkling Rose Collectibles for their generous donation of the new Christmas piece "Christmas Time is Family Time"!!  If you don't have this piece yet -- it's a MUST for the Holiday season.  Just click on their name and place your order!
